About Primo Corso Kennels

Our Breeding

We take great pride in our breeding process, which starts with carefully selecting our breeding pairs. We only breed Cane Corso (Italian Mastiff) that meet our high standards for health, temperament, and conformation. Our Cane Corsos are raised in a loving and nurturing environment and receive up to date veterinary care and socialization.

Our Story

We are a family-owned and operated breeder whose passion for Cane Corsos, also known as the Italian Mastiff, started when we got our first Cane Corso and fell in love with their strength and loyalty to their family. Since then, we have been dedicated to breeding healthy Cane Corsos with excellent confirmation and temperament for individuals and families who share our passion.

Our Kennels

We are located in rural Northwest Minnesota on five acres. Our dogs are not only for breeding purposes but are our secondary family. Our cane corso puppies are whelped in our home so we can properly assess temperament and disposition.

How to become part of the Primo Corso Kennels Family

*First you must complete a short application over the phone before being approved to purchase a Primo Corso Kennels puppy.

*If accepted you will be required to make a $500 non-refundable deposite to reserve one of our puppies. If you are unable to follow through on the purchase, we will allow you to defer the deposit to the next litter. This is a one time opportunity. If you decide against getting a Cane Corso puppy or do not get one after your deposit has been deferred, your $500 deposit will be forfeited.

*The $500 deposit goes towards the full price of the puppy. The balance must be paid before the puppy leaves to it's forever home.

We do our best to be available for questions from our new Cane Corso puppy owners. Puppies will go to their new homes between 8 and 10 weeks

What will you get??

All puppies will have

*Can be registered with the ICCF

*Dewclaws removed

*Up to date on shots

* Dewormed

At this time we do not offer ear crops due to our vet retiring

Registration paper will be mailed out after we have received proof from your vet clinic that your puppy has been spayed/neutered.

You will also receive a starter kit that includes a collar, leash and a blanket that is scented by the mom. Also a few fun items to take home.

Contract includes-

*2 year guarantee on hips

*Spay and neuter agreement on all companion/pet

puppy purchases

Now What?!?!

Now that we wait for that exciting day when you get to pick up the newest member of your family! Our puppies are ready to go at 8-10 weeks of age. Any puppy that stays past the 10 weeks will have a charge of $30 a day boarding fee with a maximum age of 12 weeks. As you can imagine puppy time is a very busy time here at Primo Corso Kennels, however, we do our very best to send photos every weekend. This way you can watch their progress until the day you get to bring your puppy home.

It was a very simple and easy process from start to finish. You can tell that Primo Corso Kennels truly care for the well being of their dogs, as they have outstanding customer service. We had a lot of questions initially and they were very engaged and quick with responses, knowledgeable, and helped us to feel comfortable making informed decisions.

They were very professional throughout the process and even allowed us to come ahead of time to their home to see our puppy in person. The application and payment process was straight forward and easy, and the price was more than reasonable.

They kept us informed from beginning to end with updates on our pup, and even began using the name we picked out in the weeks leading up to our gotcha day.

They personally delivered our pup to our home about 1.5 hrs away at no additional cost. Again, they definitely care about their dogs and want to make sure they're going to a good home, which is a testament to their breed quality and process.

Overall, I would highly recommend Primo Corso Kennels. We were still mourning the loss of our first Cane Corso when we came across Primo, and they were very welcoming and made this a positive experience, and ultimately gave us the opportunity and privilege to have a Cane Corso as part of our family again. We love our Gotti to pieces, and may be interested in another! If so, our first choice will be Primo Corso Kennels. Thank you Barb and Tori!
